This is a super eggciting day! My friends found about about the
China Academy of Art School Graduation Exhibition (wow that's a mouthful) and it's is totally worth it!
WARNING. Super long and picture-ful post!
Totally enjoyed the trip to the 2 campuses and checking our creations by the graduating class. Some are really abstract and "artsy" but i still find the experience enriching.
Shall let the pictures do the talking instead.
Every trip averages out to be ~15km and costs RMB50 shared amount 3/4 people. The entire day costs RMB70 for taxi which wasn't that expensive considering the distance (~50km) traveled.
Here's one of their classroom. Guessing that clay sculpturing is practiced here..
Interesting reflection of the modern society woes
Wondering how this is produced..
Wow! Totally impressed by the drawings
This exhibit is very catchy. Not entire sure how the projection is created although the setup looks really simple.
A horizontal down-facing screen and 4 piece of o.o..to form a prism
Electric car spotted! with an improvised way shield off the rain.
Random smoke producing boxHuge!
This tests your grip strength and activates a bicycle pump with varying speed but they probably disabled it for safety :)
Look at what the students can put together
While looking for Bubble tea in a mall, we encounter this... What.....
Took a cab and headed for the other campus further away.
Oh yeah! Finally someone understands how annoying horns are but the drivers still honked. =.="
Huge campus but the sad thing is arrived a little too late and the exhibits were closing at 4.30pm.
Interesting architectural buildings around
There's a message on the wall but not obvious in picture..
Interesting use of a small space
Bauhaus centre. We learnt about Bauhaus in class!
Below are projects displayed at the exhibition for Architecture students.
Creative use of wooden sticks
We also attempted to check out this super cool building that we spotted from far!
